    Sharing Our Success

Silverton's mission statement: Originate the highest quality loans for our borrowers, investors and partners. But we believe our mission goes even further. Our mission includes our commitment to give back to our communities; to share our success and good fortune with those who need a little extra help.

Since our founding in 1998, Silverton and our employees have consistently given back:

    The Silverton Foundation, 2012

We're proud to announce that a long-time vision of our company president, Josh Moffitt, is now coming to  fruition.  Plans are rolling along on schedule to kick off The Silverton Foundation in the second quarter of 2012! With our mission and vision clearly established, the first phase of planning is completed and we are now in the process of filing for our 501(c)3.

    MISSION

The Silverton Foundation's mortgage and rent assistance program for families with hospitalized children helps families maintain their homes, and reduces financial and emotional burdens during times of crisis

    VISION
Our vision is to focus the efforts of The Silverton Foundation on providing assistance, in the form of monthly mortgage or rent payments, to families with hospitalized children. We realize that "home" is an important center for families, a place to return after the crisis subsides, a place where continued care may be provided, a place where loved ones wait for a child's return. Our goal is that by providing housing financial assistance, families are under a lessened financial and emotional burden, allowing them to concl entrate their efforts on their ill child.

We'll keep you posted on The Silverton Foundation's progress.  If you would like to find out more about the Foundation or how you could help, please email sammoffitt@silvertonmortgage.com.

Team Silverton Giving Back

In 2012, Silverton is undertaking new and expanded volunteer and giving projects. Stay tuned for more information and ways that you and your company can get involved.

We're proud of our Team when they give back to their communities! Here are some of the activities in which our Loan Originators and Staff are involved:

    Cate Gooch-Coolidge of Team Brunswick

Commitment to her community - Cate is the President Elect for her local Kiwanis. They raise $50,000 a year for a local children's charity through various hands-on fundraisers. Cate also chairs the Scholarship Committee for high school seniors, and is the Kiwanis representative for the Brunswick High School Key Club. The Key Club teaches leadership and civic responsibility through service to the community (working in soup kitchens, picking up trash, etc.).

In addition to her work with the Kiwanis, Cate serves her community on the Glynn County Tree Advisory Board. This group recently drafted and had the county pass an ordinance protecting the tree canopy on St. Simons Island. The Tree Advisory Board keeps the Golden Isles beautiful and keeps the trees from being cut down on county property without permission from the Board.

    Priscilla Nieves of Team Marietta

Georgia Hispanic Network, National Latino Business Women's Association -

Priscilla has been active in volunteer work for many years. She is Past President and Founder of the Georgia Hispanic Network, one of the largest networks of Hispanic professionals.

Priscilla has also served as a Board Member of the National Latino Business Women's Association and a Board Member of the Cobb Association of Realtors, serving as an Ambassador.

Leighton Johnson and Gretchen Johnson of Team Brunswick

Team Brunswick involved in their community - This year, along with the local Coldwell Banker offices, Team Brunswick co-sponsored a float in the Brunswick Christmas Parade. The theme for their float was Sponge Bob. Branch Manager, Leighton Johnson, dressed up as Mermaid Man; Gretchen Johnson, Loan Originator, as Barnacle Boy, along with their children as dressed as Shrimp.
