Gareth Thomas was born in Marietta, GA, although his family has an international background-his mother is from Australia and father is from England. Both his brother and sister also work for Silverton, as an administrator and processor respectively.
Gareth Thomas began his career in the mortgage industry in 1992 while attending Kennesaw State University. From 1992-1998, he worked for Venture Mortgage as a processor and closer. At the young age of twenty-four, Gareth opened his own company, Mortgage of America.
In 2009, Gareth merged with Silverton and became a correspondent lender. Gareth not only manages the Silverton Marietta office, he continues to originate loans and is recognized as a top producer. He is licensed in Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and South Carolina.
Gareth is excited about the opportunities ahead and growing the company by hiring experienced, customer-oriented loan originators.
